"Lyon Airports" est mort né

Le 24 février dernier, le président de la Chambre de commerce et d'industrie du Rhône-Alpes présentait le nouveau logo de la société qui exploite les aéroports lyonnais : "Lyon Airports".

Créé par l'agence lyonnaise Brainstorming "Lyon Airports" avait pour objectif d'unifier et dynamiser l'image des aéroports Saint-Exupéry et Bron, et de renforcer leur caractère international.

Malheureusement, le préfet de Rhône-Alpes, représentant l'Etat, actionnaire à 60% des aéroports, aux côtés de la CCI et de la Région a fait savoir à la presse qu'il désapprouvait l'angliscisme retenu. "Lyons Airports" est donc mort né. Le préfet a notamment déclaré : "Quand on a Saint-Exupery comme parrain, il est inconcevable d'aller chercher un pseudo-anglicanisme de bas étage"..."La cinquième puissance économique mondiale n'a pas à rougir d'être française. Ce n'est pas en utilisant des codes anglo-saxons que l'on mènera une vraie politique internationale".

Heureusement, le représentant de l'Etat a eu la lucidité et probablement le courage de rappeler la nécessité de protéger la langue française.

Bien évidemment, le sujet fait débat. Difficile en effet de communiquer vers l'international, sans jouer de certains code, difficile également de renoncer à sa culture au lieu de la promouvoir.

Aujourd'hui les créatifs doivent se remettre au travail, pour créer un nouveau logo, encore plus efficace et performant, qui tiendra compte de ces différentes contraintes.

Un nouveau challenge. Pardon, un nouveau défi.
